Rescue tripod certifications: documents to check
Which documents should you request?
Request the exact tripod, winch and accessory model list, their manufacturer instructions, and the conformity documents supporting the claims in the offer. Match each document to the equipment being quoted. Ask the supplier to resolve missing or inconsistent information before your team accepts the configuration.
Use this checklist alongside your quotation review. A familiar standard number, badge or photograph is a starting point for a document request; it does not identify every component in the offered kit. This page does not establish a conformity status or a personnel rating for the PST-361.
Build a document record for each component

What CE marking tells you
CE marking expresses the manufacturer's conformity statement under the applicable EU product rules. There is no central EU permission certificate for the mark. Whether a notified body must be involved depends on the applicable assessment procedure.

The European Commission assigns the manufacturer responsibility for conformity assessment, technical documentation and the EU declaration. For a buying review, ask which rules and documents support each claim in the quotation.
If a notified body is named
Check the body's authorised scope for the relevant legislation and procedure in NANDO. A directory entry alone does not verify that a particular certificate covers the offered model. Where the record is unclear, ask the issuing body to confirm the document using independently obtained contact details.
Common document questions
Does an EN 795 reference prove that the complete kit is approved?
Ask which component and model the reference covers, the standard edition cited, and the supporting document. Review the tripod, winch and accessories together; do not treat one component's document as evidence for every item in the quote.
What if the document names a different model?
Ask for a written explanation and matching evidence from the supplier or manufacturer. Keep the discrepancy open in your purchasing record until your responsible reviewer can match the evidence to the offered item.
