Start with the authority and operator responsible for your site. Abu Dhabi’s ADPHC index lists ADOSH-SF CoP 27.0, Confined Spaces, version 4.0 dated 15 July 2024. Confirm the current document and its scope with your responsible team. Buying a tripod does not by itself establish compliance.
Use the applicable source, not a nationwide assumption
Record the emirate, site operator and work scope in your purchasing brief. Ask the responsible safety team which current authority documents and operator specifications apply. Do not treat an Abu Dhabi document as automatic evidence of the rules for every UAE site.

The ADPHC code index provides English and Arabic documents. CoP 27.0 covers confined spaces; its training section includes equipment selection, permits, monitoring and emergency procedures. Use the complete official document for the requirements that apply to your work.
Questions to put in the equipment request
Ask the site team to identify the required configuration, documented limits, conformity evidence and acceptance process. Request model-specific instructions and an itemised supplier response. Record any missing documents before order approval.
A standards name, certificate logo or supplier statement is not a substitute for checking the actual model documents. We do not establish blanket approval for PST-361 across all authorities or operators.
Keep the review record
